The Canela Wood has nicknames such as “cinnamon bark” and “wild cinnamon” for its use of spices that are similar to cinnamon. This tree is mentioned in many accounts from the early voyages from Europe to the Americas. This wood is very heavy, strong, and has tight grain. They usually grow from 25-30 feet in height, but there are accounts to where it has grown up to 50 feet tall!
